UMG Artists Sweep the American Country Award Nominations
With 13 different artists and 35 nominations, UMG artists lead the nominations for the upcoming American Country Awards (ACA) due to air live on FOX December 6th from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas. This brand new country music award show allows fans to vote for their favorite nominees once a day from now until November 8th, and for the "Artist of the Year Category" until December 4th. Exceptional musical performances, original collaborations, and noteworthy comedians will make this show a must-see!
Mercury Nashville artist Easton Corbin has an astounding number of nominations with a total of seven nods. This is quite an accomplishment for such a new artist who also has two nominations for the CMAs which is set to air in November. His self-titled album is the best-selling new artist debut of 2010.
Josh Turner follows closely behind with five nominations, and Reba McEntire with four, including "Female Artist of the Year". Taylor Swift is up for three, including the coveted "Artist of the Year" award. An impressive seven UMG artists are nominated for "Touring Artist of the Year" including Rascal Flatts, George Strait, Reba McEntire, Taylor Swift, Sugarland, Toby Keith, and Trace Adkins.
